Andy Tribble

Copywriter

Cambridge University, BA (Hons) English Literature

Andy Tribble joined Ogilvy & Mather at the start of the 1980s, writing press, TV and radio ads for luxury goods, credit cards, shampoo and toys. After a time at O&M Nairobi, and a series of London firms, he formed a new agency with himself as Creative Director, working in cars, financial services, electronics and the defence industry.

In 2003, he bought a historic house on the edge of London, and transformed it into a location for film and fashion shoots, weddings, funerals, craft fairs, open-air theatre and ghost tours. Having sold the Big House and downsized, these days he works for the fun of it.

Key Skills

  • Business proposals and documentation
  • Brochures, guides and publicity material
  • Ads of all kinds, from consumer to recruitment

Andy’s main activity is taking long motorcycle runs, lasting months. He plays with vintage pond yachts, and compiled the online guide to boat ponds in the British Isles, France and the USA. He also has an interest in baroque opera. So an ideal day out would be a motorcycle run to Versailles, sailing in the afternoon, at the theatre in the evening.
