Mike Bradshaw

Mike has gained experience from both sides of the tracks, as a hands-on kitchen professional, and as a consultant at MYA. In fact, this is his second phase at MYA: having trained as a chef, he joined us and gained our analytical skill set, but then went back to work in a series of Michelin-standard kitchens, winning accolades along the way.

Now he’s with us again, ready to give our clients the best of both worlds. On the one hand, an understanding of every aspect of this complex business and the vision to help you to define and achieve your targets; on the other hand, leadership skills at the sharp end, and the real-world experience of achieving high standards on a daily basis.

Mike’s years of experience in catering cover almost every model: maintaining competitiveness in high-end restaurants and hotels, arranging banquets that will delight the guests, transforming schools, and helping care homes to achieve a process of continuous improvement.

Mike offers clients a double set of skills. As a top kitchen professional, he can help you to train your staff, raise Health and Safety standards, improve and enforce Food Hygiene rules, and benchmark your staff performance. In addition, as a Senior Consultant, his business skills mean that he can help you to tender for contracts, to update processes, and to manage total business transformations.

In his spare time, even Mike’s hobbies are food-oriented: he’s a fan of foraging for wild food with his young daughter, and he uses power tools to upcycle metal objects into garden barbecues and smokers!
