At MYA, we’re not just adapting to the rapid evolution of technology – we’re at the forefront, leading the way! Our secret weapon? A thriving culture rooted in team education and collaboration.
During our recent all-company meeting, we reaffirmed our commitment to innovation and collective growth. Here are some of the highlights:
ISO 45003 Progress: We’re pioneering the first global standard for psychological health and safety at work. As one of our colleagues aptly put it, “it’s not just about fruit in the office.” We’re tackling tough questions to ensure our processes genuinely support our team’s well-being. This commitment is becoming indispensable, especially for global government contracts.
Belbin Team Analysis: Regular Belbin assessments are our strategy to optimize team dynamics. While our creative culture thrives, we’re thrilled with the addition of new roles like completer finisher, specialist, and monitor evaluator. It’s all about finding the perfect balance!
Industry Insights: We had the honour of hosting incredible industry speakers who introduced us to cutting-edge products and services. Knowledge is power, and we’re charging up!
Diversity & Inclusion Deep Dive: Richard Butchins led us in a thought-provoking discussion on the true meaning of diversity and inclusion for MYA and our clients. We’re moving beyond physical accessibility to explore how fully inclusive design can add immense value to businesses.
Future-Focused Design: Our design team was buzzing with innovative ideas about the future of experiential spaces. The debates were lively, and the concepts were ground-breaking. Stay tuned!
As we wrapped up with some well-deserved downtime, I couldn’t help but reflect on our incredible achievements and ponder: where do we go from here?
At MYA, we’re not just keeping up with the future – we’re designing it, one professional development session at a time.
The team, led by Carla McKenzie, were meticulous in every detail. They modelled the cleaning requirements to deliver the optimum solution for the facilities across EMEA, and really took time to understand the culture of our business. I have no hesitation in recommending MYA and its team – they are dedicated and innovative, and always go the extra mile.

They are brave enough to challenge others in pursuit of the ultimate solution, whether it be behind the scenes with kitchen flow and catering management, or front-of-house service and design.

If all companies who serve the independent school sector had your breadth of vision and openness of mind, I have little doubt that the sector would be a richer and more exciting place to be.
Phillip Godfrey, Bursar, Halliford School
During the negotiation process, Carla’s knowledge and expertise enabled our company to achieve a very strong commercial outcome, and some significant savings were yielded from the exercise.
