With that in mind, we’re delighted to welcome Tom Olroyd to MYA.
Tom joins us as we continue to grow our consultancy, project leadership, and transformation capabilities across hospitality, catering, and operational design.
For Tom, MYA felt like the right place to transition from hospitality operations to consulting and project leadership. In his words, the job description felt as if it had been written for him. After researching the business, he saw the direction MYA is travelling in and recognised it as a fantastic opportunity.
Tom is particularly looking forward to leading transformation projects, especially around operations, systems implementation and practical change. He is also keen to help develop MYA’s bar and drinks offer, bringing operational insight and a clear eye for what works in the real world, not just on a beautifully formatted spreadsheet.
Outside work, Tom is a keen golfer, which he describes as mainly hunting for golf balls under loose leaves at the weekend. He is also building a garden office as part of a home renovation project, which feels entirely appropriate: hands-on, problem-solving, occasionally covered in sawdust, and determined to make the thing work properly.
