The catering equipment industry will need to get a clear handle on data security when installing connected kitchen appliances as big corporates embrace ‘digital buildings’, one of Google’s top foodservice experts has said.
Speaking at the recent Ceda Conference, James Shaw told delegates that smart building projects were creating a “new and exciting conversation” that supports the growth and transformation of Google’s real estate – as well as the delivery of associated amenities such as foodservice.
However, this prospect does come with its challenges.
